Computer Programming students at Minneapolis Business College learn a variety of programming languages, which are then used to solve business problems.

Concentrated courses in object-oriented programming, Visual Basic, Java, database concepts, web development and authoring tools, PC hardware and diagnostics, operating systems, applications and network administration.

Graduates of the Computer Specialist program will have been exposed to a variety of software application packages and operating system environments.  Graduates will be ready to contribute in both small and large office environments.

Minneapolis Business College’s Graphic Design program helps develop an artist’s skills using common design principles. Students receive training in color, typography, drawing, illustration as well as the business side of design. Focused classes help students learn the computer technology being used in the graphic design field.

Hands-on classes in typography, illustration, animation, digital design, and desktop publishing. Graduate with a portfolio of artwork that will get future employers’ attention.

Students will learn how to administer and maintain a networked environment. Specialized training in networking products, such as MS Windows, Linux and SQL Server is provided in computer labs designed for hands-on learning.

Concentrated classes on UNIX, Linux administration,  Microsoft Operating Systems,  PC hardware and diagnostics,  implementing clients and servers, designing security, and administering SQL server.
